Sam is rite, Leave it blank , USCIS will check the system and fill it. I have seen few cases in this forum where applicant wrote a A# and when they received the receipt it was different, SO leave blank there is no harm.

Me also got RFE for 485. My priority date is 2006 Aug. Mine was related to medical report. Dr corrected the mistake and replied back.

Thank you RoseBall for your response. Definitely will do. One thing I want to emphasise. I'm sure rejection happened in Feb/October 2007 due to some other reason. Because USCIS did not ask for my either past employment history or paystubs.Do you have any idea of any grace period like 30 days after H1B expiration date to file for extension?

I have asked about whether I need to wait for the AP, but my lawyers have said I have to wait until the fingerprinting is done and I have the travel document before I leave..!!! Maybe I need to ring the immigration department again and confirm once again. I keep getting different information from different people..!!

It says India took a total of 41254 visas, but if you total the columns including family pref it comes to 32030. What am I missing?? Anyway how does it matter...

If H1/ H4 is still valid, you can revalidate H1/H4 if you leave the country, get a new visa and re-enter. S/he needs to do that no later than 180 days after I-485 denial. S/he is out of status starting from the denial of I-485.

HI fellow members..
I duly filed for AP along with my my 485 in OCT 2007. They messed up the photos on the AP. They put my wife's photo on mine and vice versa. We asked for a correction and they interchanged the case nos on the AP issued.
So after 2 years they still have not given me a valid AP document. I refiled again last week.
I have to attend my sisters wedding in June this year. We are still maintaining our H1/H4 status. My H1 is valid till 2011.
Is it ok to leave the country without an AP and re-enter on H1.? I will have to apply for H1visa at the chennai consulate.
My lawyer advises me not to go without an AP. Not going is not an option for me. Has anyone here re-entered in H1 visa after stamping whiel their I485 is pending.
Im so tired of this immigration game. 0 Accountability. ..they told my lawyer they will not issue a correction to the wrong AP issued since it has already been approved till 2010 and I will have wait till 2010 to re-apply for correct AP and I cannot travel outside till 2010..do these people understand what they are doing ??

How long did it take for your MTR process from the time you submitted till the time your attorney received the I485 re-opening letter?
Specifically, how long after sending MTR did you get the receipt notice that MTR was receive and how many days after that did the letter to reopen arrive?
I have an d MTR in the works in TX service center and trying to find how long they are taking these days.
My MTR got approved in 2 months from TSC.
But online status for I485 is not changed yet...... Does anyone has any idea of what process they follow for MTR reopening and I485 status update?
